BPW Afrique, elle est une des cinq régions statutaires de BPW International.

Elle est composée de 3 fédérations : Nigéria, Soudan et l’Egypte

et de 11 clubs Associés à savoir : BPW Ouagadougou Burkina Faso, BPW Cotonou, Bénin , BPW Abidjan RCI, BPW Kumba, Cameroun, BPW Outéniqua, BPW Pretoria, BPW Johannesburg en Afrique du Sud, BPW Kinshasa, RDC, BPW Lomé, Togo, BPW Laayoune, Maroc et BPW Lusaka en Zambi qui militent sur le continent.

BPW Afrique désigne des représentantes officielles auprès des instances de l’Union Africaine.

Dans le cadre de ses activités statutaires pendant la mandature 2008-2011, BPW Afrique a organisé son Congrès régional à Abuja au Nigeria du 15 au 17 Octobre 2009.

Le thème du congrès était : «Le pouvoir de faire la différence par le Leadership»

Le Congrès Africain de BPW International organisé à Abuja en République Fédérale du Nigéria qui s’est déroulé du 15 au 17 octobre 2009 dans la salle de conférence du « New CHELSEA HOTEL » a connu la participation de plus d’une centaine membres venant des pays d’Afrique, à savoir, le Bénin, la Côte d’Ivoire, la République Démocratique du Congo, le Nigéria, le Burkina-Faso, l’Égypte et le Soudan, ainsi que des membres du Bureau Exécutif de BPW International à savoir la Présidente Madame Elisabeth Benham, le Première Vice Présidente, Madame Gabriella Canonica et la Secrétaire Générale, Dr Jean Murray avec la Past Présidente Dr. Antoinette Ruegg, venus respectivement, des Etats Unis d’Amérique, de l’Australie et de la Suisse.

Ce congrès a été une réussite avec le dynamise et le professionnalisme de la fédération du Nigeria.

BPW Africa, it is one of the five statutory regions of BPW International.

BPW Africa appoints official representatives to the African Union bodies.
In the framework of its statutory activities during the 2008 – 2009 term of office, BPW organized its Regional Congress in Abuja, Federal Republic of Nigeria from the 15th to 17th October, 2009.
The theme of the Congress was “Power to make the Difference through Leadership”.
The African Congress of BPW International organized in Abuja in the Federal Republic of Nigeria which was held from the 15th to 17th October, 2009 in the conference hall of the “NEW CHELSEA HOTEL” was attended by over one hundred participants from African countries namely Benin, Côte d’Ivoire, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Burkina Faso, Egypt, and Soudan as well as members of the Executive Board namely, the President Madam Elisabeth Benham, the first Vice President, Madam Gabriella Canonica and the General Secretary, Dr. Jean Murray and the Past President Dr. Antoinette Rüegg, who came respectively from the United States, Australia and Switzerland.
This congress was a huge success due to the dynamism and professionalism of the Nigerian federation.
