New members for BPW Haiti

On June 14th the BPW of Port-au-Prince during its monthly meeting welcomed 8 new members.

Four of them are young graduates. It was a real party. This event is a source of hope for the future of the club. These new members are college graduate and professionnals in diffirent fiels: Law, architecture, finances...
We also took the time to pay tribute to our dean Odette Roy Fombrun who was celebrating her 92nd birthday.

Leading Empowerment

The Women's Empowerment Principles are a set of Principles for business offering guidance on how to empower women in the workplace, marketplace and community. They are the result of a collaboration between the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) and the United Nations Global Compact.

Leading Equality

Empowering women in the workplace includes ensuring that there is equal pay for work of equal value.  Women - regardless of which country they are living in - don´t get the same wages as men. BPW International supports the Global Platform for Action on Sourcing from Women Vendors as a means to empowering women in business, particularly in the marketplace.  As an inaugural member of the Steering Committee for the Women Vendor Exhibition & Forum, BPW International works with the International Trade Centre to match vendors with buyers.
