SheTrades is International Trade Center’s flagship initiative to empower women economically through trade. BPW International collaborates with ITC to help them achieve the goal of connecting 1 million women to the market by 2020 and to help BPW members to build skills and link them to trade and investment via web and mobile applications

The SheTrades Global event links women entrepreneurs with buyers, partners and investors and previous event generated over US$ 80 millions worth of new business opportunities. The next SheTrades Global will be held in Liverpool, Unite Kingdom on 26-28 June 2018.

Women’s Empowerment Principles

UN Women and UN Global Compact jointly launched the “Women’s Empowerment Principles – Equality Means Business” or WEPs on 8 March 2010. WEPs suggest seven principles for companies to use to empower women in the workplace and the market place.

BPW International works in partnership with UN Women and UN Global Compact to support WEPs and encourage BPW affiliates to invite CEOs in their countries to sign Statement of Support.

The Global Consortium of Women to End Cervical Cancer

At the Global Summit of Women in Hanoi, Vietnam in 2008, the Global Summit of Women, in association with the International Federation of Business and Professional Women (BPW International) and the European Women's Management Development (EWMD) network, launched "The Global Consortium of Women to End Cervical Cancer" aimed at eliminating this fully preventable disease which kill 250,000 women worldwide each year. Since its launched, over 1 millions people sign the partition to pledge to support this campaign.
