6th Forum of the BPW Mediterranean Network and
celebration of the 9th anniversary of the BPW Mediterranean Network
On November 7, 2021, I attended the 6th Forum of the BPW Mediterranean Network and the celebration of the 9th anniversary of the BPW Mediterranean Network, which was established in 2012.
The Mediterranean Network was born from a dream of Livia Ricci, our international past president.
I presented a short video to recall a significant event of 2004 in Cairo: the twinning between BPW Italy District Sicily, of which I was president, and BPW Cairo, of which Amany Asfour was president.
I think it was the first moment for the birth of the idea of the BPW Mediterranean Network.
The twinning was made possible thanks to Livia Ricci and gave me the opportunity to meet the members of BPW Cairo and Amany Asfour.
Antoinette Ruegg, then International President, and Lucia Ajovalasit, President of BPW Italy, were also with us.
About 50 members of BPW Italy were present.
It was a very significant experience that promoted many other moments of exchange of ideas and experiences in BPW.
