Quito, Ecuador - November 29 to December 2, 2022
Quito was the last station of our trip. We all had a little problem catching our breath as Quito is at 2800 m above sea level. The Executive of the Federation welcomed us to the hotel where we had a very nice evening together, discussing and enjoying Pizza. Straightaway I had to give an interview on violence against women, its causes and means to prevent it. The next morning was « free » and gave us time to prepare for the CSW events and the review for the « Global Compact ». On the next day we had a fantastic conference on the digital revolution and its challenges and in the afternoon, we met with the executive of the Federation.
The last day gave us the opportunity to visit the historical centre of Quito, to admire the largest nativity scene I have ever seen in the cathedral of Quito, to have a short reception at a member’s hotel and then to go to the middle of the world. The 2nd of December brought us back to Bogotá where President Victoria and her mother said good-bye to us and very early on the 3rd we boarded the plane to Sao Paolo where Past President Margarida helped Executives and Members who made our stay on their continent unforgettable.
